Proverbs Redwork Embroidery by Clementine Pattern Co.

This embroidery features a flourishing homestead full of life, centered around Proverbs 24:3-4:

“By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established;
by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches.”

This pattern was delightful to embroider and is a beautiful reminder of the joy of living in the way of the Lord. The stitches used include straight, back, stem, seed, lazy-daisy, and French knot. The finished work fits perfectly in an 11″ x 14″ frame. (Makes for a wonderful addition to the home or a wedding or housewarming gift!)

Now available at Clementine Pattern Co., this embroidery kit comes in color and redwork!

    This is another lovely pattern, thank you for setting it up. Do you have a trick for your french knots? They are my problem spot in embroidery, though I am sure I have several as I am a beginner/novice. *smile* Another question I have is, do you change the number of threads to change the texture or look of your work? It appears that way to me, but I’m not sure. *smile* Have a great day. Sincerely, Mommy of two growing blessings & so much more!

    Thank you! French knots can certainly be tricky and even after years of practice a knot turns out poorly here and there. I would recommend practicing the stitch on felt, which is an easy material to control and inexpensive to come by. As far as varying the knots, we occasionally change the number of threads or wraps around the needle, depending on the desired size. We usually use two strands and stitch double-wrap French knots, but in the lawn at the top and for the bird eyes we used a single strand for single- and double-wrap French knots.
