26 June 2009

As you may know, I will be having my wisdom teeth removed this morning and will be “out of the groove” for a few days. So, while I’m on the mend, I decided that I wanted you all to have fun while I’m away.

For the next 5 days I will be posting lovely vintage
images FREE for your enjoyment and usage!

All of the images are scans from an old book called, Young People’s Scrap-Book. This book is full of narratives, natural history, scenes, and personal sketches, containing “over three hundred elegant wood-cuts”. It is a beautiful book, and extra special because it is over 75 years old (not sure of the original publishing date).

Starting tomorrow, these delightful images will be up for your happiness! (There is a great variety: birds, buildings, children, beautiful landscapes, and more!)
vintage, vintage images, vintage scans, antiques, wood-cuts, old book, old books, vintage book, antique portraits, antique images, free vintage pictures, free old pictures
I’m glad to share them with you and I hope you enjoy them!

Make sure you don’t miss out!

I wanted to thank you for a past post on adventure pouches. I just found your site last week by a link from Mrs. Chancey’s site and I am thankful for it. I have enjoyed the beauty and creativity of your site and those of your family members.
The adventure pouch…I teach a keeper of the faith club every other week with both boys and girls in it. I try to do a variety of projects benefiting all. I wanted to teach handsewing but couldn’t really think of anything for the boys. Thank you, thank you, thank you. The adventure pouch is perfect! Keep up the great posts. May God be with you as your wisdom teeth are removed and may your recovery be quick and complete. In the Lord’s strength,
    Penny

    Hello, dear Emily,

I will be praying for a swift recovery for you…I had my two wisdom teeth extracted a month or two ago, and God was faithful as He always is, even in the small things.

May you rest in His peace!
    Lovingly,

    Hi Emily Rose,

The vintage images you have been posting are beautiful. It certainly would be a treasure to have an old book like that with such wonderful pictures in it.

Just a couple weeks ago a friend of mine had her wisdom teeth taken out too.
I hope you will have a quick recovery.

    Have a great day!
