Hey Emily Rose,

I made the shortcake… Everyone in my family really enjoyed it!

Couple things: I would recommend using parchment paper rather than wax paper. I have a new oven, and I had to watch the wax paper very carefully the whole time (at 450 degrees) because it began to melt:)!

Also, I ended up putting the shortcake batter in two cake pans (this also eliminates having to cut the shortbread in half), just make sure you cut the baking time in half! I piled strawberries on top then the cream, then decorated with strawberries. I did this to each shortbread (instead of making it a double decker)….make two single layers… and you have TWO desserts.. handy for lots of company.
*I did have to make an extra recipe of the whipped topping… my family likes things very moist!!!
