Out of all of those, I have read Great Expectations. It liked it a lot. I think I have also read the one by Edith Schaeffer. Is it’s full title, The Hidden Art of Homemaking? If it is, then I have read it, and it is very good, too.

Other than that, and Pilgrim’s Progress (of course!) I don’t think I have read any of those books. I’ll have to add to my list as well! I just started Till We Have Faces. I can’t wait to get farther into it, I haven’t even finished the introduction yet!

Have a very bright, very cheerful day!

Oh, you make me want to write out a list! The other day I took all of the books off my shelf that I want to read/reread and stacked them up. And then I put them back. :) I’ll have to type out a solid list which I intend to read and post it! I’ll comment again when I do. I love lists of books, and can’t believe I didn’t think of doing it before. ;)

    Hello Emily!
What a nice long booklist! :) I have the homemaking book by Edith Schaeferr and am planning to read it soon. Also I have heard of The Lie. And the Sew What! Skirts will be delightful, I’m sure! If you end up sewing any skirts you will have to post photos of them!
    Have a lovely day! Blessings!

I created a Booklist in the beginning of this year in an effort to realize just how well I was doing at getting reading done. It has been most helpful for me to encourage me along the way.

Your list looks WONDERFUL and I plan to add a few of yours to my “hopefuls” list too!

    my list is here:

I have just read Joan of Arc and how wonderful and gifted she was! A true non-fictional heroine of France! Oh if it was not for her, France would probably not be in existence anymore. I just wanted to share my delight with your reading the book. She is one of my favorite saints, especially for her strength and firmness in the True Faith, Catholicism.

    God Bless,
    Grace

    Hi, Emily Rose!

I have been following your blog for a while now, and I am finally getting around to commenting. :)

I was on your site a couple months ago and I saw your post about the Indianapolis Tax Tea Party [I got excited, beacuse my family had been there too!] and looking at your pictures I realized that I remembered seeing you and your family there! I even remembered seeing you at the IAHE Convention in April. [Your family sat near my Mom and I during a General Session.] How I remeber all this is beyond me! :)

God is so amazing in the way HE works things out and cross’ people’s pathes. :)

Now just today I saw that you have a link to the Botkins Crossroads Event and I was wondering if you are going to be attending?? My Mom, sisters and I are going to be there.

    Blessings!
    Emily

Happy reading Emily! Don’t you just love books?

I have one list of books to read which I wrote up at the beginning of the year, and although I hoped I would read them all by the end of 2009, I just know it won’t happen! :)

You can check out my ‘to-read’ and Recommendation lists on my blog:
    http://jessicaletchford.wordpress.com/books/

I have Hidden Art, The Lie: Evolution and I think The Pilgrim’s Progress on my list to read – I am particularly looking forward to reading Hidden Art!

    Enjoy your summer of reading!
    Love Jess

That is so neat! I didn’t ever think of scanning something in that wasn’t a picture. :) My brother has been scanning in pictures from 5 or so years ago and it has started me reminiscing.

    One quick question….
How do you put text on your photos? (All of your photos have “emily rose” or “simply vintage girl” on them)
    Thanks so much!
