My whole life I have been fascinated with buttons. Their look, their sound, and what they do. I suppose that that is one reason why I like blogging and working on the computer — I can hear the clicking of what I’m doing.
There are those times where I begin typing and going so fast that my family jokes about me needing to be careful so that my fingers don’t fly off. I find this quite a humorous thought, as usually when they say this I’m not really paying attention to how loud I am being.
When we go to garage sales and there is a keyboard there, I usually type on it to see if the clicks sound nice. On one occasion I liked the sound so well that I bought an old keyboard that would be of no use but to play with. We still have it, and I have never found another keyboard that sounded as clickishly wholesome.
Growing up, I always enjoyed watching the cashiers at the grocery store. And if I ever had the chance to look at all the keys they would push, I would, and try to figure out what each one was for. I liked the sound of the Enter button the best.
I still am fascinated by buttons, what they sound like, and what they do. I guess it’s just one of my quirks. A pleasant one I think . . . click, click, click.

You make me smile! :)
I love your cute quirks. Thank you for putting your new link button on my blog. ;)
You are a dear sweet woman and I love you!
I hope you have a fantastic day!
Happy clicking!
Marie :)
LOL!:-)click,click,click!!!! what a cute little quirk!!;) and i LOVE the pix!!! God bless~ J@yde :)
There is definitely something satisfying about certain sounds, and clicks might be one of them! Also, certain smells are just wonderful, like old books, and each one of us likes a different smell, or a different sound. I find that amazing!
Have a very bright, very cheerful day!

Clicking is such a happy happy thing . .. *sigh*
Love this post, darlin!
I love the sound of typing keys as well! Shannon has an old non-electronic typewriter and I love using it because of the sound of all the keys.

Oh the joys of clicking. When I was little my mom found a cash register on the side of the road and boy I love playing store with it. The register tape came out and it had a real cash drawer. We found a cash register at an auction for my kids to play store with. I think I love playing more than they do!
Hi Emily!
Cute post… Lauren has an old typewriter which she bought at an antique festival. It’s ever so vintagy!
I thought I’d drop by and let you know that I finally got around to posting a few of my England photos. If you’re interested, you might enjoy stopping by!

Oh, I would love to find an old typewriter some day – with wonderful melodic keys. How nice to have a computer/typewriter keyboard hybrid like this, eh? –> http://www.geeksugar.com/208806
Hello Emily Rose!
The photo of the typewriter is lovely and very a neat vintage photo!
It was such a blessing to meet you in person at the Father Daughter 09 Retreat!
Joyfully,
Elizabeth
I’m so glad I’m not the only one! I love choosing my keyboards by how they feel and what the clickity-clack sounds like. I’ve got a typewriter hidden in my closet (I need to find ribbon!) because there is no better clacking sound than that of a typewriter!
Exactly! Which is why my blog is named “Clickety-Clack”! My family jokes about the same thing…
Happy Clickety-Clacking,
Everly
Dear Emily Rose,
I love the feel of the keys and the sound they make when I push them down. Great to know I’m not the only one who loves the clickety-clack.
Great post,
Elizabeth
