A case was needed for my iPod (which is great for listening to sermons while working on a project), so I decided to make my own.

I crocheted an oval and continued to single crochet around until it was the desired height (about the height of the Pod). Then I crocheted back and forth the width of the flap, making sure to leave a hole for the button. I tied the button down with two pieces of yarn and then sewed all the yarn ends into the crocheting. Voila!

Modeled by my dear sister, Breezy.

Currently Creating: A bag/purse for the Father & Daughter Retreat. I am making it out of green corduroy and soft floral printed cotton.

That is so awesome! I totally want one- you should etsy them :) Since you mentioned listening to sermons on your IPod, maybe you’ll be able to answer my question. Have you been to OnePlace? I downloaded many windows media files (sermons, podcasts, whatnot), but my Ipod won’t read them because of the format. Do you know how to overcome this?

Again, its awesome. Let me know if you make some for sale–I’ll be all over it!

That is really cute!!! Isn’t crocheting great? :-) I crocheted a case for my MP3 player, but it is a little awkward because it had to be large enough to fit my earbuds too. I think I will have to make a new, snugger one with a separate little one for the earbuds.
Yes, they would make a great etsy item!! I think they would be a quick seller.

I love this idea. I know what my next project will be and the best part I love is it will be fast and easy. I plan on making it for my cell phone. I wish I had a i Pod. My husband asked me a while back if I wanted one and I said what do I need one of those for. Now that you mentioned that you listen to sermons that is such a great idea. Maybe I can get one sometime in the future. Thanks for the ideas. Also I love reading your blog.

What a creative idea Emily Rose! I love crocheting too and I think I am most proud of my work when I make it up myself! It’s more fun that way too! Great idea and great work on it! It looks fantastic! =:)

Oh, That’s pretty!!! I’ve crocheted cell phone and glasses cases and I’ve hand-knit iPod sock for people as gifts, but I LOVE the yarn and button that you chose!

    Love and blessings,

that’s so pretty! since i’m new to crocheting and am not really sure what you mean (how on earth did that start out oval? it’s a rectangle! and how did you attach the two sides together?) do you think you could post a pattern? or e-mail me some instructions? i would really like to make a sunglass holder (no ipod here, unfortunately). thanks!

    Hi Emily Rose!
I have a quick question you. If you have time, you could post your answer on a comment on my blog. How do you create your own “blog buttons/banners”?” Do you use Photobucket?
    Just wondering…
Thanks! Hope to see you at the Father Daughter Retreat!
