20 January 2009

Lately, we have kept a chair next to the kitchen window for Bently to sit on to look outside (there is a blanket on the chair for extra comfort). Yesterday morning we heard him crying in the kitchen.
He was sitting on his chair (where he had been for quite a while) hot and panting. We tried to coax him off the chair and out of the sun, but he wouldn’t budge.
I picked him up and held his relaxed little self in my arms where he seemed quite content to stay. After a couple minutes I put him down and got back to what I was doing before the distraction.
Suddenly, I heard Breezy say quietly yet urgently, “Emily, hurry, look at the dog!”
There he was, laying on his back in the middle of the floor, cooling off on the hardwood floors.

That is funny! Our Bulldog, Dolly, kind of does the same thing, only on linoleum. She splays herself out as far as she can!
Have a very bright, very cheerful day!

Miss Emily Rose,
You don’t know me but I have certainly enjoyed your blog. I found you through the give-a-way you did back in December.
I love this picture of Bently… he looks exactly like our dog Scamp(especially in this picture.) Scamp was a miniature rat terrier with a little chihuahua. He lived to be an “old man” of 14. We just lost him in June and miss him a lot!
I hope you don’t mind me rambling a bit. Thank you for your lovely Christian stand and lady-likeness!

LOL!! Oh, how I love a crazy dog… ^_^
LOL – so very adorable!!
Miss Emily Rose…I just want you to know how much I enjoy viewing your blog. It is not only pleasing to the eye, but I’ve been lifted up by so much of what I’ve read on your blog, as well as your family’s blogs. I check your blog almost every day…sometimes a few times a day. I’ve also been in touch with Sarah Mae from “Like a Warm Cup of Coffee”, who I found from your blog. I noticed that you designed her blog. I home school our two children. I started a blog a few months back. I’m interested in giving it facelift…and don’t know where to start. Could you email me with some information. I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you! Have a blessed day.

How cute!! Bently is totally adorable!
Our former dog, Faith, used to like to find cool spots to lay too, wheather it be the kitchen floor, the concrete in the garage, or even a convenient spot of dirt in the shade of a tree :). Sadly, she got sick several years ago, and we had to put her down :’(

Cuteness personified. ;)
I hope I’m not pest with all my comments.. I just love your blog, and can’t help but leave so many. :D
I have more recently come to find an interest in antique shops; we have a very cute one nearby with a ton of old stuff crammed into every corner. It’s a pleasure for an old fashioned gal. ;)
hehee..I always find Bently amusing. :)
hehe! That’s too funny. =)
Our cats are nutty like that, too. Hershey plays fetch, and sometimes Precious will watch television with us–she likes any shows that have animals in them. =)
