. . . to rake your leaves in the fall.
We didn’t rake our leaves, we just let them blow around in the wind.
On my birthday (the last day of November), I was walking our dog late at night when an idea came to me. I could make a snowman on my birthday!
Bently (our dog) was taking his time, so I began to roll the snow into nice sized balls. The snow was so wet that I didn’t have to pack the layers much.
One on top of the other I stacked them.
And behold, it was a leafy snowman!
I hadn’t ever thought of that as one of the cons of not raking the leaves when they fall in Autumn.
So, our November snowman was a very leafy one.
I named him Loric.
I made a leafy snowman too the other day:-)

LOL! We’ve never had that problem because we don’t get snow! :-( You can just say that its his new coat. :-)

Loric is so handsome…with some natural…um colour:) I didn’t make a snowman but I did throw some snowballs at the dog while I was walking her.

It doesn’t matter how many times I see pictures of snow, it still amazes me…. I have never ever seen snow in my entire life and my brain goes into overload trying to imagine how it is in real life! Your picture & snowman are beautiful, leaves and all. :)

I was just thinking about that the other day. We’ve been getting a lot of rain in NC, and the leaves we’ve left in the yard are now causing puddles where we otherwise wouldn’t have them- if not for the layer of leaves on the ground. Definitely a lesson learned.
