Hello Emily! It was so nice to hear from you again! :D
Yes, I am very excited about my researching/sewing. However I hardly know how to sew.

First I need to make my apron - it is vintage style, cut out 'n all in an atrocious orange-floral print, ready and waiting to be pieced and sewn together. Quite 50's looking, and actually kind of cute. :) Do you make just regular aprons, or are they old fashioned style? For how long have you been sewing? After I make my apron, I will start on the arduous task of sewing (all with my mom's help, of course... She can sew, but is still learning,) a girls sized, simple middle class colonial era dress in a feminine print fabric of lovely pale lavender flowers.
Ahem, enough of my rambling now. ;)

I decided to do a different story too! Civil War era novels just seem a bit typical too, don't they? They can be very interesting though. ;) I'm now doing one about some young siblings, their family, and their adventures on the American home front of WWII. I adore the 1940's. 8) Wow, a Medieval tale will be fascinating! Is it about a boy or a girl? Any details yet?
Do you have any ideas for your WWII story?

 The lil' panda guy IS adorable. I couldn't help but post him. :)

You have a blessed week too ~
TTYL!

Heating has never been a big problem for us, we do have a heater, and that helps a lot, but we also have a very good wood stove. My Dad just has to make the smallest of fires and we are all lying about in summer clothes trying to cool off, while there is a blizzard outside! :) I'm sure it would be fun to sit by our door and watch one of us stumble out every once in awhile gasping for air. Then go back inside after standing for a few moments. :)

I love to have company, we don't get if very often though as we live rather far out on a very, very bumpy gravel rode, and after the first visit most people say we can go to their house! :)

I have slowly learned to eat cream cheese although it has to have a LOT of sugar added for me to really eat it without thinking how much I didn't like it in my head. :)

I love to play Phase Ten! It is one of my favorite games, although not a lot of people will play with me! I like the game Five Crowns better though I think, I've not yet decided. Have you heard about it, or played it?

I can't wait to read 101 things about you, I really enjoyed reading Maggie's, I feel I know her so much better! I've been thinking about doing it as well, I'll have to wait and see.

Hey there Emily Rose -
Glad you guys got your heating in. I don't know what I would do without heat in the house! haha... Well, glad you guys got it fixed anyways.

That would be neat to go to an actual tea party. I wanted to host one, but I realized a very big problem - I don't have a tea set! LOL. I would need one before I would be able to host one. Oh well... maybe I'll get one someday.

Can't wait to see some photos! :) Can't wait for them...

RYC:
Well, from the looks of everything, it's going to be a cold winter! Maybe just a white Christmas, but not a full 3-1/2 months of cold.

Yes, I am hoping to have a party for my birthday. Why, you girls wanna come? (hint hint)

Grits are a hot cereal. They are good with butter and honey. You can get hominy grits, or a different kind. I'm not sure how many different kinds there are. :)

I am working on learning that. Maybe you could learn it again too.

love and blessings!
love,
 Rachel

If you are inspired in the realm of creativity Miss Emily Rose, than I greatly long to see her house! She must be extremely creative - I wish I made half the amount of crafts you do! I love to make things, but am not a very good steward of my time. However, with me working on Christmas presents, I have a little inspiration.

I have a little confession to make to you. I am stealing your wonderful notebook idea and making about 10 of them for Christmas!! :) I hope you don't mind!

Have a fantazgreat day!

That sounds like a lovely tea, and the family is very enjoyable. We do not have people over to our house very often, except you and family, for you understand how inhospitable the layout of our house is. But we have many plans to have others over when a certain little event changes.

I will now wish Amanda a happy birthday!
