I hope you have great fun with your old books but please check out their provenance before destroying them. As an old book fan I would hate to think of the pages just being thrown away.

To me they are a valuable asset for reproducing and bringing back to life ancient history for modern readers.

You seem to be a caring person so I am sure you do take care though only to cut up books that cannot be restored or re used in any way.
